Barolo Castiglione DOCG, Vietti 2013 - red

The seat of Vietti is the medieval Castiglione in Piedmont, more precisely in the famous DOC "Langhe", where such top wines as Gaja are produced. The history of the Vietti company goes back to the 19 century. In the early 20 century, Vietti started bottling their own wine and selling it under its own brand. In the early 1960s, Vietti started using its own grapes, processing the wine on locations. In this way, one could respond to the individual terroirs better, which, on the one hand, contribute to the perfection of the wines and, on the other hand, ideally reflect the characteristics of different locations. The young Barolo is neither polished nor filtered, which makes the most out of the extraction. Vietti only works according to traditional principles. This is why this Barolo has a longer shelf life than “modern” wines.

  • Appellation/Origin: Barolo DOCG, (Langhe) Italy
  • Vintage: 2013
  • Vineyard: 56,000 bottles
  • Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
  • Red wine; bottle of 75 cl
