Saint Aubin 1er cru "Les Pitangerets" 2014 - red

Saint Aubin is a wine village in the heart of Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The ground is predominantly brown clay. This provides the Pinot Noir growing in it, the strength and typicity of this Burgundy terroir. Jacques Carillon is in fact a white-wine winemaker, however this fresh and uncomplicated top Pinot shows that he understands a red wine just as well. Alongside his wife, Jacques Carillon founded this little winery with approx. a 5 ha vineyard, in 2010. From the outset they worked strictly to the “Viticulture raisonnée” principle in both the vineyards and cellars, this means with the utmost care for plants, fruits and ground. For that reason, no herbicides are used at all.
