Château Péby Faugères 2014 - red

In 2012, Château Péby Faugères was elevated to the exclusive circle of SAINT-ÉMILION GRAND CRUSÉS CLASSÉS from the previous status of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. Here, however, you realise that it is a real Cru, bringing that solemn Merlot explosion to the table. Therefore, here is not only that great Saint Emilion taste, but equally strong world-class Merlot. I tried it a few times - in other vintages - and rated it at 19/20, and I am usually right in Rodestimmung. This 2014 edition has already become a soothing Péby classic.

  • Origin/Appellation: Bordeaux; Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé
  • Vintage: 2014 (vintage changes are reserved)
  • Grape Varieties: 100% Merlot
  • Average age of the vines: 45 years
  • Aged: 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels
  • Recommendation: A good accompaniment to all hearty dishes, terrine and cheese and, in light of its high Merlot content, also good with fish or white meat
  • Maturity: 2022 - 2040
  • Red wine; bottle of 75 cl
