Château Haut Brion "Péssac-Léognan" 2014 AC/MC - red

This world-famous vineyard was formed in 1525 and documents a complete success story as virtually no other in the world’s top wines. Situated directly before the town Bordeaux. Due to the long, intensive field trials, it was a success for the then owners to produce a wine, still typical of today, at the beginning of the 18th Century for that region. This explains the rise of this vineyard to world-class. Evidence of the ratings which Haut Brion alone was awarded in a more modest year such as 2011:  Parker: 96/100 pt; Wine Spectator: 19/20 pt – to mention just two of the awards from all of the ensemble. In brief: Haut Brion: absolutely safe value.

  • Red wine; bottle of 75 cl
  • Origin: Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux - France
  • Vintage: 2014 (actual year may vary)
  • Grape varieties: Merlot (34.8%); Cabernet Franc (18.9%); Cabernet-Sauvignon (46.3%)
  • Recommendation: Drink with Tournedos Rossini or beef Wellington, goose or duck from the oven
  • Maturity: 2025 - 2050
  • Awards: Robert Parker (96/100), James Suckling (97/100)
